Lead Design Manager at Stellantis (Jeep)

Artist | Creative | Designer

Born to Honduran parents in Miami in the late 1980s, I grew up immersed in the vibrant colors, sounds, and cultures that defined my surroundings. This dynamic environment ignited my senses from a young age, though it would take a life-changing experience to fully unlock my creative potential.

At the age of six, a routine tonsillectomy went awry when I awoke during the procedure, unable to move. This traumatic event led to a coma lasting several weeks. Upon awakening, I faced the daunting task of relearning basic skills like walking, eating, and reading. During this challenging time, drawing became my refuge and means of expression, a passion that has stayed with me ever since. My art is a reflection of this journey, combining the utilitarian aspects of design with the vibrancy and diversity of my Miami upbringing.

My artistic path took a significant turn when I attended Design and Architecture Senior High School (DASH) in Miami, a magnet school that opened doors to the broader art world. DASH introduced me to influential people, honed my skills, and matured my artistic vision. Thanks to my dedication and the recognition of my talent, I earned full scholarships to several prestigious design schools.

I pursued my BFA in Industrial Design at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, where the city’s culture and resurgence further shaped my artistic sensibilities. My professional career flourished at Stellantis, where I contributed significantly to the design of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer. Today, I proudly serve as a Lead Design Manager for Jeep at Stellantis.

As a Latino artist, my frequent travels to Honduras have profoundly influenced my work and identity. The simple joy of sharing meals with family, coupled with the rich sights, sounds, and traditions of my parents' homeland, continually inspire me. These experiences have kept me deeply connected to my roots and have enriched my understanding of what it means to be Latino. It's a source of immense pride and a cornerstone of my individuality.

I find inspiration in the everyday interactions and stimuli around me. An open mind and a readiness for 'epiphany moments' fuel my creativity. The world’s colors, shapes, and dynamics are my constant companions in maintaining a creative and innovative mindset.

I invite you to explore my art on this site and reach out with any questions. Enjoy the journey through my work, and thank you for being part of it.
